our director is an excellent cook and the kids had all the traditional fixings at their feast…turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cornbread, cranberry jello jigglers (shaped like turkeys), green bean casserole and of course, pie for dessert.

{Happy Thanksgiving}

From our family to yours… we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving…

I look forward to writing a long post later, but right now the kitchen, dining room and the parade are calling me (lots to do)!!!

There is so much I am thankful for…including all of you, my loyal friends…. Happy Thanksgiving!

{Pilgrim Girl}

Every Friday, Sydney’s school has a Shabbat sing but last Friday it was extra special because it was a Thanksgiving Shabbat Sing.  It was very cute, the kids were dressed as Pilgrims and in addition to the normal Shabbat songs, they sang some Thanksgiving songs.  Along with the food drive that was held last week, they kicked off the morning with a bake sale, in which the kids baked the goods at school.   I bought some cute smily face cookies and the children learned how the money would be donated to help those in need.  A perfect Thanksgiving lesson.

A few quick snaps…basically sooc

Made over a 100 and I’m not done yet…lol. Matthew and Max took for their classes today and Shawn took a huge tray into work…they were all “gobbled” up !!!!  Tomorrow I will be making some more for our Thanksgiving festivities (we are hosting on Thursday and on Friday we are getting together with a few families for a leftover potluck) only this time I am going to try the chocolate wafer cookies as the base.
